Dr. Kathryn Hume leads sales and marketing for Fast Forward Labs, a machine intelligence research company, and teaches courses on law and technology at the University of Calgary. Prior to joining Fast Forward Labs, she advised global law firms on data privacy and security, and earned a doctorate in comparative literature from Stanford. She speaks multiple languages and excels at mapping new technologies to vertical business problems and use cases.
Kathryn Hume lead sales and marketing efforts for Fast Forward Labs, a machine intelligence research company that helps organizations innovate and grow using recently possible data technologies. Kathryn is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Calgary, where she teaches innovative courses on law and technology featuring guest speakers from law firms and technology companies.
Prior to joining Fast Forward Labs, Kathryn advised law firms on data privacy and security, and managed Intapp’s Risk Roundtable, an international seminar program focused on legal risk management. She serves as a judge for the Managing Partner Forum, which recognizes excellence in professional services management.
Kathryn is a recognized writer and speaker, frequently invited to speak on topics ranging from innovation and data science to information security to aesthetics in the machine learning age. Holding a PhD in comparative literature from Stanford, she speaks eight languages and brings a humanistic, interdisciplinary perspective to technology and data science.
